Strictly Come Dancing or The X Factor

Are you a fan of Strictly Come Dancing or XFactor, I’ll start by saying Strictly.  I’ve watched it religiously from the first series & love the show on BBC2 during the week.

We watched X Factor when the kids where still at home & they had a big influence over what was on the TV, but I will say I was never a big fan, but sometimes you just get wrapped up in the programme & the people involved, once they left home we haven’t watched it really just the odd episodes or clips on YouTube.

But the programmes are set to clash by ten minutes once again this year so I can hear, thank goodness for Sky Plus I hear parents everywhere saying.  Why the guys who set the programmes ( It has to be a single guy for so many football & man like programmes as no parent would ever do something that causes even more arguments) don’t just set the second one to start as the first one finishes is beyond me! But there is the mystery of the TV scheduling.

The popular BBC One dance show began for the first time in almost a year this weekend and drew a whopping audience of 8.4 million, but The XFactor followed closely behind with 8.3 million viewers.  What I’d love to know is how many watched them both but I can’t seem to find the statistic anywhere.

The judges on both show will be sharpening their talons, with the usual judges on Strictly consisting of  Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood with the XFactor change bringing the return of music aficionado Sharon Osborne, Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow & the stunning Nicole Scherzinger.  I just hope they realise that the show could go ahead without them & their egos as sometimes I feel they think they are the show, that goes for both programmes.
