Wasgij Christmas 15: Santa’s Unexpected Delivery
Wasgij – produced and manufactured by Jumbo Games – is the UK’s number one adult jigsaw puzzle range, a position it has enjoyed since 2005 (Source: NPD). Wasgij – is jigsaw spelt backwards and is pronounced ‘Woz-gidge’
The Wasgij range has a different set of rules when it comes to jigsaws – instead of following tradition and asking puzzlers to piece together the same image as that printed on the box, Wasgij truly broke the mould – by challenging puzzlers to use their imagination!
There are four different concepts in the current Wasgij range. They are very different from each other, but with one common theme – the picture on the box is not the picture you will be puzzling!
So here you can see an example. On the box you can see the image of 2 people answering their door and looking a bit confused right? So when you go on to complete the puzzle within the box, you will be putting together a puzzle of what they are looking at, which will question as to why they look a bit confused!
The brainteaser puzzle that requires puzzlers to use their imagination (and a few clues provided) to put themselves in the position of a particular character that appears in the picture shown on the box. Once the puzzler has done this, they need to imagine what that character is looking at in front of them – that is the image they must piece together. The addictive concept is designed to keep the puzzler guessing right up until they have completed the puzzle and is the reason why Wasgij is the brand it is today.
Wasgij Christmas 15: Santa’s Unexpected Delivery
Wasgij Christmas 15: Santa’s Unexpected Delivery! is a hilariously festive 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle. The image shown on the box sees Santa working in his workshop with all the elves and Mrs Claus. When suddenly Santa hears a knock at the door – But who could it be?
Use your imagination, and the clues provided on the box, to find out why everyone is looking at.
Try to imagine you are one of the elves and piece together what she can see.
So I won’t give away the final puzzle picture, but here is a picture I had captured whilst mid-creation. I have had great fun completing this puzzle, I love Wasgij and their idea behind what they do. Although at the beginning of the puzzle after creating the edges you don’t know where to begin next, once you get going you really get into it and once all the puzzle there is definitely a good feeling of achievement.
As you can see on my photo I have used a PuzzleMates Porta Puzzle, which I used for this puzzle on my bed on an evening, and when finished for the night I would just simply pick it up and slide under the bed. I love the easy use to transfer locations.
Bonus Second Wasgij Puzzle Within The Box
But that is not all! Once you have finished puzzling together the fantastic 1,000 piece Wasgij solution puzzle, you can then puzzle together the FREE 1,000 piece box image puzzle!
After completing the above, I also started the image on the box puzzle, but as I enjoyed creating the previous puzzle without an image to look at, I did the same with this puzzle too.
Using the Jumbo Puzzle Sorter trays to help me along the way, they helped so much separating the different coloured pieces as I went. Which then was great for when finding a certain area, I then had all them pieces in the tray awaiting to be connected.
MyThoughts
I have really enjoyed the Wasgij Christmas 15: Santa’s Unexpected Delivery puzzles. It was so good for some “me time”. I have asked Santa for some more to do over the festive season and into the New Year!

Always one of these on our Christmas gift list – they are such good fun
At the moment the only jigsaws I get to work on are those my granddaughter is playing with. The Wasgij puzzles look great for adults to relax with.
