Unlock!
Do you love a challenge? How about solving a puzzle whilst trying to beat the clock? Do you love the idea of escape rooms? If yes, then we have the perfect game suited for you. Unlock!
Escape rooms are becoming ever more popular, last year I even attempted a Harry Potter escape room with Jake and Grace. We did it with minutes to spare!
I really enjoyed the ‘searching for clues’ and seeing where they would leave us next.
Unlock! from Space Cowboys is just a perfect way of an ‘escape room‘ experience, in the comfort of your own home.
About Unlock!
Grab friends together, or accept the challenge and play by yourself, it is a game not to be missed.
Unlock! is a cooperative card game inspired by escape rooms that uses a simple system which allows you to search scenes, combine objects, and solve riddles.
Embark on great adventures, while seated at a table using only cards and a free companion app that can provide clues, check codes, monitor time remaining, etc.

Instructions/guidelines
How to Play
Unlock! Escape Adventures includes three separate scenarios for you to explore, The Formula, Squeek & Sausage and The Island of Doctor Gorge. Within the box is includes a tutorial so you can make sure you fully understand the rules of the game before starting.
Each game consists of sixty cards depicting objects, maps, and puzzles that can be activated, solved, or combined in an effort to access other cards and areas.
The free app Unlock! which is available on the app store, tracks the time through the game, you are given one hour to complete each escape room.
The app is not just a timer, it is your companion through the game, it can offer you hints if you need it, it is also used as part of the game for completing puzzles, which when correctly completed will then give you clues to continue with the game.
Such as when you complete a puzzle in the game, this will then give you a blue puzzle piece with +15 written on. this blue puzzle piece may the correspond to another one of your cards to help get to the next clue.
In order to progress through the deck, you must examine the cards and figure out how they interact with each other and with the app.
The game continues, it may sound easy, and I thought it may have been, but it was quite challenging and I will admit, on all three games I played I completed, but well after the 1 hour mark. It took me about one and a half hours each game to complete.
More about Unlock!
When the players believe they have figured out the code to escape each adventure, they will input the number into the app and escape the danger, or if incorrect you will be given a penalty such as loose 2 minutes from the clock for example.
If you complete the game in enough time, you will be presented with a rating. Your rating will be determined by your use of hints, incorrect guesses, and the duration of your game.
Every play of the game will get you closer and closer to that perfect run and a five-star score. Do not dismiss your defeats, your mistakes may just be the key to your success the next time around!
Our Thoughts
The Unlock! game is suited 2 to 6 Players but it would make a great challenge as a single player too. Great challenging game suited for ages 10+, perfect for adults. I would love to play more of these games now that I have the bug.
I invited a friend over who is big fan of the escape room challenges, and she sat and studied and played this game.
Although still not beaten the clock as she had alot of failed attempts at codes. She did it ‘within an hour’ before having penalty time taken from her.
Would highly recommend these Unlock! games, you can view them on the Amazon Website.
