Today 2nd September is National Blueberry Popsicle Day

I’ve decided to honour National Day’s Not Saints days but all the odd, weird, funny National Days we hear about on the web.

So today is #NationalDay of the Blueberry Popsicle

Family Clan Blog Blueberry Popsicle Day 2nd Sept 2014

Popsicles were invented in 1905 by an eleven-year-old boy named Frank Epperson. One winter’s night he accidentally left a fruit-flavored drink with a stirring stick on his porch. In the morning, it was the frozen treat we all know and love. Frank called his invention the “Epsicle,” but the name was changed to “popsicle” eighteen year.

We call the “ice lollies” of course. but they are all very refreshing on a warm summers day.

What is your favourite flavour? Have you ever made your own ice lollies.

I got popsicle molds this summer and have had fun making them I never heard of this special day before, and so far, haven’t made any pops with blueberries. I like blueberry juice, I should try making them!
