I have very, very fair skin, think milk bottle and you are getting close. I don’t go out in the sun without copious amounts of factor 50 sun screen, else I look like a red lobster! This was so annoying growing up as most of my brothers just looked out of the window at the sun and they seemed to go brown! But now, after all these years of waiting, I have finally found a self tan that has not only a SPF of 50 with high UVA and UVB protection. Also has a five star UVA Ultra protection.
Did you know that most self tans don’t have any SPF in them at all!?! I was truly shocked by this when I was doing research for this review.
TANCREAM™ The Story
Tancream was developed specifically by Gillian Robson and Katy Foxcroft. Gillian was diagnosed with an aggressive skin cancer, she was unable to find an appropriate effective product in the existing skincare market that provided colour, a long-lasting self tan combined with the protection of sun screen.
With the vision to develop a sun lotion for safe body coverage with the added bonus of a rapid bronzer and beautiful natural gradual tan, Gillian and Katy enlisted the expertise of leading sun care expert Dr Jack Ferguson to create the award winning TANCREAM™.
The development of this unique formulation took 24 months and has steadily gained popularity as well as endorsements by leading dermatologists.

TANCREAM™
TANCREAM™ is formulated to allow the skin to breathe so your pores don’t get blocked. I hate sunscreen that makes my face and neck feel heavy and thick. TANCREAM™ leaves my skin feeling nourished and silky smooth.
The cream is perfect for all skin types, but if you suffer from acne, vitiligo, eczema dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea, I would recommend a patch test first.
TANCREAM™ is best used after showering in a morning. After a good exfoliation, make sure you pay attention to your dry areas like your knees, elbows, etc
Apply generous amount to face and body sweeping the product gently into your skin. The tan will start to work in as little as 3-4 hours and lasts for days. I’m on day 4 and still it looks great.
Allow to dry before dressing and wash your hands after use.
Make sure you avoid it getting into your eyes, hair and onto fabric.
TANCREAM™ is water resistant but not waterproof so should be reapplied after swimming.
If you are using TANCREAM™ as an SPF apply once in the morning to exposed areas for daily sun protection. Although I am really sensitive to the sun skin I have reapplied if I am out in the afternoon too. Better to be safe than sorry.
I love that it comes in its own little bag. Also the pump action means you get every little drop out of it. As it is also in a 100ml bottle you can take it on a flight with you, well thought out ladies.
