Daughter in Google and The Drum Final – Women in Search 2016 – UPDATE

Google and The Drum Final Three – Women in Search 2016

We are so proud to announce our daughter Melissa-Jane for getting into the final three in Google and The Drum initiative Women in Search. She has been selected out of hundreds of women in her field to become Google Search & The Drum #WomenInSearch

Melissa-Jane Daniel The Drum Finalist 2016

Melissa-Jane was diagnosed with dyslexia when she was at college, but she went on to university, coming out with top grades, after a LOT of hard work, self sacrifice & sheer stubbornness, never giving up, always believing she could do it.  We always knew she would too.

She was nominated & then shortlisted into the top 50 Women, then selected to be in the top three, where she had to make a “Dragons Den” style pitch to a panel judges in a closed door session to determine the final winner.

The final winner will be announced at The Drum Search Awards on Wednesday 8 June, hosted at the Marriott Grosvenor Square.

Fingers crossed.

Been a busy week as Jake won an award from school to this week, you can read why here

UPDATE

After being wined & dined at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square in London, being made to wait until the end of all the awards, sadly Melissa-Jane wasn’t selected as the winner. Sophia Glennon, who works for Confused.com was selected, so well done Sophia.

Being selected for a top three finalist is a major achievement & will look fantastic on her  CV, she did treat herself to a new dress for the evening.

Thank you to everyone who sent us messages of support, we really did & do appreciate it.
