The Crochet Lite Hooks Review
When I saw these Crochet Lite hooks on Ebay and I just had to try them. I do a lot of crocheting and knitting in the night and I hate putting the bedside lamp on as it could disturb Grand Dad Al, so when I saw these hooks I thought they would be perfect for what I need them for.
The two sizes I purchased ate 4.0mm and a 5.0mm (F and H) as they are the two hooks that I use most, but they come in sizes: 2.5mm/3.0mm/3.5mm/4.0mm/4.5mm/5.0mm/5.5mm/6.0mm/6.5mm.
I will not be using the Crochet Lite hooks all the time but they are actually fine to crochet with. The handle has a plastic grip of one inch that makes them easy to hold. They measure approximately 6 inches (15.2 cm) from tip to the base of the handle with a hook length of 1½ inches (3.8 cm). I’ve not had cramp in my hands or anything using them. The bulb is LED and is great for when you are crocheting with dark yarn too. It picks out the stitches really clearly. I’ve found it great for this.
My Thoughts
I still prefer my aluminum hooks as the yarn flows better off them but these is a great substitute and you could use them on a plane as it is not metal, not sure if you would have to remove the batteries, but it could keep you crafting during a boring flight!
If you are a tight crocheter then I probably wouldn’t recommend the Crochet Lite or go easy with them as they will break under strain I think, I’m not putting it to the test. Yes they are a gimminck, but they are fun and actually quite practical.
I’ve used them a few times now and they are great. They come all ready fitted with the required batteries and are still working fine. At a cost of just £1.49 each on Ebay they are steal. Here’s a link to where I bought them incase you want to check it out. They arrived reasonably quickly from China. You can buy them on Amazon but they are twice the price and we all love a bargain. Oh it does say the hooks are aluminium, nope they are plastic or acrylic maybe but not aluminium!
What do you think, have you seen these before? What is on your hooks or needles?

These are nifty -great for these darker days – my eyes arent quite what they used to be
I love to crochet and these are certainly top of my wish list so when I can’t sleep, I won’t disturb my husband by flicking on the light.
