Well the late into this last week with the “Beast from the East” hitting us hard.. Jake and Grace’s school closed. So what else was we meant to do but go out and play!
We went sledging with their friends and built snowmen (and snow princess’s ), we had a great time and ended up the day with steaming mugs of hot chocolate and marshmallows. We had so much fun. Have to admit to being freezing, but as the children were busy running around with shiny red cheeks and noses I knew they were fine.
Daddy J and big brother C weren’t quite as impressed as they couldn’t get to work on Wednesday as no public transport could get to us, but Jake and Grace thought having a days off from school to play in the snow was a great idea! Although they missed their World Book Day dressing up time, but school has rescheduled it to later this week.
