Sunday Snap 28th July 2019 Red Admiral Visits

We took a trip out this week and walked to visit friends house. On the way we spotted this butterfly. It was a beautiful sunny day and we counted six butterflies in total. Was so lovely seeing them flutter around. This one was kind enough to stay still whilst I took it’s photograph. Nanna Jane thinks it is a Red Admiral.

Red Admiral makes a Visit Sunday Snap 28th July 2019 Family Clan

SUNDAY SNAPS ARE JUST THAT, SNAPS, THEY WILL NEVER BE HIGH QUALITY FRAMED SHOTS, THEY ARE JUST CAPTURING A MOMENT OF TIME OR SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN MOMENTOUS OR JUST FUN DURING THE PREVIOUS WEEK IN THE LIFE OF A FAMILY CLAN MEMBER.

Butterflies are so lovely. I purposely leave a patch of nettles at the foot of my garden as the leaves are used by a particular butterfly to lay its eggs.

How lovely. I plant buddlejas in the hope of attracting butterflies but have never been lucky enough to see a Red Admiral.
