Remembrance Sunday 12th November 2017

This years two minutes’ silence, at 11am, marks the declaration of the end of the fighting between Allied Forces and Germany 99 years ago. The end of the First World War.

    Beautiful photo and poem, my aunties birthday is 11/11 we watched the parade on Tv yesterday too, I did a two minutes of silence while 5 year old Megan and 8 month old Mollie were their noisy usual selves, Megan did buy a poppy in school, she lost it the same day, so I replaced it with a sticky poppy and poppy wristband xxx

    We watched the British Legion Festival of Remembrance on TV last night.
    Always gets you thinking of all the individuals who give their life around the world protecting us now & in the past.
    The bravery of their loved ones is truly inspirational.

    Everyone stood still in Asda for 2 minutes except for two women in their mid-twenties who just carried on as normal – unbelievable….
