How Did Pure Potions come about?

Pure Potions was founded by a mother seeking a cream that would suit her daughter’s severely dry and itchy skin. Natalie Balmond began experimenting with traditional recipes for moisturisers that could be used on very sore and itchy skin after other products, both conventional and alternative, only aggravated her daughter Lula’s chronic eczema.

I’m over 50 – even though if you asked me I’d say 21 – and certain parts of my face and neck are sagging, I hate getting old, but it’s a fact of life, so skin care has become more important to me. I really should have started a more concentrated routine at an earlier age as Mum – Nanna Doll – has fabulous skin, she’s 86 with the face of a young 60 year old and I think I was just hoping it was in the genes.

But back to the review. Skin Salvation, it’s mainly aimed at people with who have dry skin, eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis, which I’m so lucky not to suffer from but my neck and decolletage especially has started looking a bit “creped” so I tried the Intensive Moisturing Ointment 60ml, on it and after just one night the result was amazing! I’m serious I could see the difference in the skin condition. I just wished I’d took a before and after picture, but I didn’t expect it to work after just one application!

The consistency of the Intensive Moisturing Ointment is waxy, and the smell isn’t luxurious, but great for those who don’t like perfumes in their products, but it’s not unpleasant, I put some on my palms and rubbed it to warm and loosen it up a little before applying it to my neck as didn’t want to stretch or pull my skin, I’ve found this the best way to apply it. Then I just spread it upwards towards my jaw. This worked fine for me and I’m loving using it.

Pure Potions Skin Salvation Skincare Review Family ClanThe Intensive Hand Cream, 50ml, has been sat at the side of me and my laptop for a couple of weeks now and I’ve been using it regularly. I do look after my nails and hands, more so than my face for some reason, I think it’s just easier as you can do it anytime of the day. I love the fact this comes in a pump dispenser, so no germs are going back into the cream and it keeps it fresh. It’s a lovely thick cream that sinks into you skin, making your hands feel so soft after you have applied it.

Daily Moisturising Cream comes in a 100ml tube and again I can’t tell you how lovely it feels when it has been absorbed into the skin. I have to admit I would have preferred a pump, for the reasons above. But the size of the tube is good as I like to apply it liberally and often on my face and arms.

The Bath and Body Emollient Oil comes in a 200ml bottle, I have been applying directly to my skin, and using it for washing my hands and face on a morning and evening as part of this routine. Not being able to get in a bath I shower, so can’t testify how it would be but as a wash and just as an oil applied directly it’s wonderful and I love using it. My skin feels plumped and renewed.

I really am running out of superlatives for this skin care range and as I said previously I don’t have problems with my skin, so I can’t imagine how much a relief it would be to someone, young or old, as you can use it on babies, who does suffer from some kind of skin disorder. Add in a lovely lush swipe of Intensive Lip Balm and my beauty routine is complete. Again I have kept this by me and just applied some whenever I thought about it or it caught my eye.

For those of you that have skin problems you might like to know that Pure Potions offer a Skin Salvation sample pack for just £5 with free P&P in the UK and Europe, so if I haven’t convinced you, then you could try it with out breaking the bank.
