NextBase 312GW Dash Cam Review Family Clan Blog

Have you ever considered buying a dash cam.

I have, after watching several videos on YouTube involving car accidents and people jumping onto car bonnets and claiming that they had been run over.

I purchased two dash cams “yes two” one for the front and one for the rear window (can’t be to careful)

I also recently found out about one such thing had happened to a elderly neighbour.  A few years ago a car reversed into his car and then a number youths jumped into that car in front and a claim was made on his insurance (he now has a dash cam fitted), but it’s cost him a lot in insurance. Nasty pieces of work doing that o anyone never mind an old chap!

On that note we have been sent a nextbase dash camera for review and I have to say the first impressions of the Nextbase 312GW dash camera out of the box that it feels a quality product and is heavier than my current dash cam which is a GS800L and is approximately 69 grams as apposed to the Nextbase which weighs in at 90 grams.

About the 312GW

The Nextbase Dash Cam 312GW gives very high quality footage when recording in Full 1080p HD at 30fps (frames per second) The 312GW uses the latest 6G glass in their lenses which provides quality images and the wide 140 degree viewing angle is capable of capturing both sides of the road whilst maintaining image clarity. It’s the first Nextbase model to have built in WiFi, meaning you can quickly transfer footage to review on your smartphone or tablet and then simply share the footage online with the Nextbase app.NextBase 312GW Dash Cam Review Family Clan Blog

The Nextbase 312GW is also one of the first Dash Cams to come with the Click & Go Powered Magnetic Car Mounting system that makes it easy to remove, you just simply slide your Dash Cam onto the mount with the aid of inbuilt magnets and off you go!

The power to the Dash Cam runs through the mount so there is no need to worry about wires and the camera will automatically turn on when you start your vehicle and turn off again when you stop your vehicle. This 312GW also includes a GPS and G force recording system, which can also help to provide important evidence in the event of an accident. By tracking your location you can watch your footage back with speed, location and G force data shown alongside the video. This small and handy Dash Cam can easily be tucked away behind your rear view mirror, ensuring your journeys are captured at all times!

When I lived in Scotland I was driving down a main road in winter. There was a lot of snow and ice on the road, and I was amused to see a chap literally skiing down the road. Actual ski’s and everything! Still makes me chuckle thinking about it.

  2. Danielle Graves

a man running down the road barefoot with a car tyre tied to him i think he must have been in training for something

  3. tishist

The most interesting thing I’ve seen is presumably a pet pig sticking its head out of a car window

  4. James M

We were very surprised by two low-flying fighter jets which whooshed over us near Fort William.

  5. Caroline Signey

A swan waddling across the motorway slowing down traffic

  6. Gabriela Kroh

When I was 8 years old, I saw a motocycle run into a car and end up around 15 mts high. Have no idea how the driver didn’t hurt himself, just a few scratches.

  7. Emma S

Kids riding down the main road on one wheel of their bikes! Highly dangerous!!

  8. Nikki Hunter-Pike

Some insane driver with road rage constantly slamming on his breaks on the motorway trying to get another ar to crash into the back him of. It was SO dangerous I wish I’d been able to record it to report it

  9. Tracy Hanson

I would like to say 2 things, but as I wasn’t driving not sure they are allowed. Posting them anyway. I did have one answer but the second one happened just tonight so needed to add that too.

On our way into London a few years ago we saw a cloud and it just looked like half a teddy peeping round the door waving. You could pick out the head and ear and also the paw. We were on a coach at the time and several people on the coach saw it too. Wish I’d taken a photo of it now.

We have just come back from London (again, different thing this time) and have just seen a FOX walking down our street. Thought it was a very large cat before we could see him/her properly. Needless to say it didn’t worry about the car and we let it go on it’s nightly adventure.
