National Dog Day
So today is National Dog Day.
We are a nation of dog lovers, so today this seems appropriate to have a National dog day. Although at the moment only two members of Family Clan have dogs, Daddy A and daughter M.
A 2007 survey by the University of Bristol found that 26% of UK households owned cats and 31% owned dogs. Of course dogs like humans come in all shapes and sizes from the smallest dog in the World according to the Guinness Book of Records is a female Chihuahua called Miracle Milly, who measured 9.65 cm (3.8 in) tall on 21 February 2013 and is owned by Vanesa Semler of Dorado, Puerto Rico.

Zeus, a Great Dane from Otsego, Michigan, United States, was declared to be the World’s tallest dog” by the 2013 Guinness Book of World Records. This 3 year old handsome beast measures 44 inches from foot to shoulder and standing on his hind legs, Zeus stretches to 7-foot-4-inch.
Zeus weighs 155 pounds and eats around 12 cups of food a day. That’s equivalent to one 30-pound bag of food.

Now that its one hungry dog!
