Lansinoh Breastfeeding Range
Lansinoh began in the home of a breastfeeding mother, over 30 years ago in the USA. Rasheda Hagen was trying to breastfeed with increasingly tender and sore nipples. She struggled to find any relief from the products she found available on the market and was almost at the point of starting to wean her child. She was then recommended to try Lanolin by a health professional, but she couldn’t find anything available in the shops.
Rasheda’s husband, a doctor, helped source wool fat from a hospital pharmacy. She applied the Lanolin to her nipples and found immediate relief. Alongside her healing nipples she was able to continue breastfeeding. Rasheda went on to develop a form of lanolin that was safe for mother to use and for baby to continue feeding whilst the lanolin helped soothe the nipple. She started packaging it herself and giving to other breastfeeding mothers who experienced the same problem. Lansinoh Single Electric Breast Pump
Once milk has been expressed into the bottle it needs to be stored at room temperature (less than 26oc), this milk can last up to 6hr.
There is also other options such as storing it in the fridge or freezer. Putting it in the fridge, it can last up to 3-5 days and if you wish to store it in your freezer, it can last up to 6 months! The Lansinoh Single Electric Breast Pump is also dishwasher and steriliser friendly allowing you to sterilise ready for your next feed.
Lansinoh HPA Lanolin cream
Lansino HPA Lanolin cream is the world’s purest nipple cream which helps soothe and protect mums from sore nipples and/or cracked skin while breastfeeding. It is 100% natural with no additives, preservatives or chemicals in it and is paraben free.
Simply add a small amount of the cream to your finger and gently apply it to my whole nipple area after feeding baby, this will not harm baby so there is no need to remove it before breastfeeding, you can re-apply this cream as often as necessary.
This handy little cream can also be used for nappy rash, itchy stretch marks and many more, I am also able to take it with me in case I need it while out and about.
Lansinoh nursing pads
These nursing pads have been a great help in my pregnancy/after birth. I just popped them in my bra and I don’t need to worry about soggy tops! They are super soft and absorbent to keep me protected and comfortable all day. You can change as often as needed too.
My baby is now 10 days old and my milk supply is coming in very well, Jensen isn’t feeding as much as I would like and is only taking about 1oz every feed at the moment. As I’m still expressing more than he is taking, I am using the Lansinoh breast feeding storage bags to store my supply and it is handy to know I have a supply for him, just in case!
