You may have remembered by Sunday Snap from a few weeks ago where I was invited into school to help Jake create a volcano.
This involved us using cardboard strips from cereal boxes, plastic bottle, lots of newspaper to form the shape of the volcano and Plaster of Paris which was in bandage form called Mod Roc.
Very messy, but he loved it!
They then painted their volcano’s and yesterday was the big day, letting it explode!
First day back at school after half term and they started with their experiment to make it explode.
No photos of the process, but this was the after photo when they were left out on the school yard to dry. He couldn’t wait to show me his volcano when he came beaming out of the school doors.

looks absolutely awesome Jake
Hooray – what a BRILL idea – going to have to try this with the boys
How lovely. Jake will remember that very impressive erupting volcano for many years.
Sounded like a lot of fun!
