Jake’s Magic Bean Plant & An Apple Tree

Jake’s Magic Bean Plant

Jake found a ‘magic bean’ he found in school whilst digging about 2 months ago. He came home saying it’s a magic bean and it’ll grow into a bean stalk. Here it is now. Growing strong and starting to flower now. We have no idea what it is, but we can’t wait to see the flower looks like. If you know what it is do please let us know.

We bought this Apple tree reduced in Asda a few months ago. Merely just a dry stick planted it and it has came on so well. Hopefully sometime in the future it will flower & bloom.

The magic bean plant looks great, we started growing our own christmas trees several years ago, the kids love watching them grow

That’s so nice to encourage kids to plant trees and let them learn about mother nature☺
Good luck with your Apple tree????

That will have sparked an interest in plants in Jake. I’m afraid I don’t know what it is without looking closely at it. The apple tree is a good size. I imagine there will be other apple trees in your area so wouldn’t worry too much about getting another one for pollination, but you will get more apples if one of the same group is close by. The RHS gives advice on apple pollination groups.

Well done Jake, it looks good, I hope it has a lovely flower. Good luck with your apple tree, it looks like it’s doing well. I planted our first apple tree last year, but then had to go out and buy some more after someone told me you need another tree from the same pollination group. So we have a few trees now, they’re doing well but, no apples yet.
