Hatchimals have been a big hit in my house since we first laid eyes on them! They are small, cute and there is something so magical about them that children just fall in love with them.
With the news of Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 by Spinmaster coming out, Grace and Jake were so excited to see the new range and get their hands on them!
The products we received for review are Hatchimals CollEGGtibles 2 pack and Nest (RRP £4.99), Hatchimals CollEGGtibles 4 Pack with extra friend (RRP £9.99), Hatchimals CollEggtibles Blind Bag (RRP £2.99), Hatchimals CollEGGtibles One Dozen Egg Pack (RRP £24.99).
Jake and Grace first started by opening the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles pack. They were so excited and were taking it in turns to open each egg in awe of what they found within. The creatures inside are so adorable!
To crack open the eggs, all you need to do is rub the purple heart, after about 10 seconds your heart will have turned pink, this is then able to be cracked by pushing pressure just above the heart, your egg can now be cracked open.
First Grace wanted to open the bling bag, there is definitely something about blind bags that make children so egg-cited as they don’t know what to expect, we revealed an extremely cute fox inside this egg.
We then went and opened the 2 & 4 packs which both come with nests that you can either stand your egg on, or have your new friends sit on.
Each Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 set comes with a small poster which shows all the Season 3 Hatchimals you can collect and you can tick off which ones you have as you reveal, each ColEGGtible belongs to different categories such as Savannah, Jungle, Ocean, Forest, River and onto the Special Edition such as Petal Path, Breezy Beach and Shimmering Sands.
So much cuteness, we really love these!
Last but definitely not least, we opened our dozen eggs. Very cute how they are even in an egg tray I must say!
When we opened them Jake and Grace got super excited, there are 2 CollEGGtibles sitting in two front holders ready for instant play and 10 were still in their eggs waiting to be revealed.
Jake and Grace chose an egg together to reveal, and at the same time they both revealed twins! They kept laughing as they both didn’t expect this. They hatched each eggs, we even got a special edition sleeping giraffe, which they both know is my favorite animal and said I could have this one to keep.
There is definitely something really special about Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3, Jake is 8 and Grace is 5 (in 4 days) and they both really like them. It is great that these are toys that are suited for boys and girls, as it is difficult at this age to find products that they both are interested in.
What’s more, as Season 3 is all about best friends, if you use the poster supplied inside each pack, you will see that you can match two friends together. There is so much play to be had, Grace sat for a good hour playing with her friends and introducing each of them to each other!
Our Thoughts
We’ve loved these Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3, they are simple, amazing and so much fun for such small items. They would be perfect for birthdays and Christmas and even Christmas stocking fillers. Starting from just £2.99 they are a product that will suit everyone’s price range.
As they are small I would say best suited age 3+ just for choking hazard, but if your little ones love hand held figures Hatchimals are definitely an option. Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 are available from Amazon and all good toy stockists.
