Harry Potter has been my favourite growing up ever since getting my hands on the first book in primary school 1997, from queuing up outside a local supermarket a few years later with my mam and sister waiting for the books to be released extremely late at night.

These are memories I will keep, and I’m glad, that now I have my own children that they have also taken an interest in Harry Potter too.

You really do get taken in by all the magic in Harry Potter series of books and it really does come to life in your mind and you just can’t put the books down, and you have genuine thoughts on each character bringing them to life in your head.

The Harry Potter series has become so successful with the films being released, even though the books are so much better!

Fast forward 21 years (eek) since its first release on book, we now have a wide array of Harry Potter merchandise for all ages! My best friend only yesterday sent me a photo of her new baby with a sleepsuit on saying ‘Waiting for my letter to Hogwarts’ with Hedwig on the front, that is just the cutest!

It really does just show you that Harry Potter is everywhere, and there is no signs of it slowing down.

How the Harry Potter Golden Snitch Heliball works?

The Golden Snitch Heliball gives a fun and unique gameplay. A patented proximity sensory underneath the Snitch detects anything below, and on detection increases the propellers speeds so as the Heliball rises up through the air.

Getting started

Charge the Golden Snitch Heliball by the USB, I did this by plugging into my PC, and the wire connects under the Golden Snitch.

Once charged you are ready to fly! Holding the Heliball vertically and correctly by using your finger tips around the sides making sure you do not cover the bottom sensor. The Heliball will then move up and down vertically, while if held at an angle it might fly in ever creasing and out of control circles, so make sure you keep it vertical.

How to Fly your Golden Snitch

Now you have it charged and are holding it in the right position, press the On/Off button on the Golden Snitch. Press the On/Off button on the remote handset, the propellers will not begin to spin. After about couple of seconds, release the Golden Snitch in a vertical position at arms length. The Golden Snitch will now be controlled by any object beneath it, including hands, feet. During the flight the wings on the Snitch will flap simulating flight.

So get set, and go and live your magical Potter dreams of being a Seeker, and get catching your Golden Snitch.

Once you have finished play, you can also place the Harry Potter Golden Snitch Heliball on the display plinth, it would look fabulous on a shelf too!

Our Thoughts

We have really enjoyed the Golden Snitch, it has been great to bring dreams to life. It is extremely powerful and stays in the air, not like some other flying products we have previously owned that over time have failed to stay in the air and are now no good.

After continuous use of the Golden Snitch it is still as new once charged and continues to be a firm favourite that Jake and Grace like to take out on a warm but not windy day.

I like that it can also be used indoors, so no disappointed children!
