Gordon’s Great Escape Book Review

We have received a book called Gordon’s Great Escape to review by Sue Hendra & Paul Linnet.
From the award winning creators of Supertato.

The book starts off by telling you about Gordon the balloon and how being a balloon is not all about parties and floating about!
Have you ever thought about how dangerous and adventurous a balloon’s life can be? You haven’t? Then it’s high time you met Gordon!

Us, as the readers, go on a little adventure with Gordon the balloon. through how he started and where he ends up. The story is very gripping page by page for younger readers, Grace who is 3 and Jake aged 6, really enjoyed this book and both loved the ending of the story!

Jake and Grace have both very recently had their birthday and were sat with their birthday balloons as we read this as they had seen the front cover of this book and wanted to join in. They knew straight away that the story would be about a balloon.

The book is aimed I would say at range of readers, from young readers due to bright colors, excellent drawings through to older readers as Jake enjoyed trying to read along the story with me.

I liked how the story was presented throughout the book making it easy for young readers to follow by looking at the pictures.

The ending of the book left Jake open mouth when he seen the page before last!jakes-gordon-the-balloon

I won’t give the story away, but this was an excellent read. I’m pretty sure that I will be asked to read this book again and again!

The front cover design on the book is very grabbing with the 3d feel effect on the writing ‘Gordon’s’ and shiny confetti which glistens as it moves.

This book is one of many in the series of books by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet the book RRP £6.99 and is paperback. It can be purchased from Amazon for just £5.24.
