Gloriana (Novella Nostalgia Book 5)

Gloriana Oliver Richbell Book Review Family Clan

Gloriana – by Author Oliver Richbell

This Novella Nostalgia book is the fifth in this series and is inspired by the 2008 Tom Cruise film Valkyrie, which I have to admit to not having watched.

The film is set during World War II and the conspiratorial plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler. The premise of the book is actually quite up to date and could easily be true of today’s politics set around the current BREXIT fiasco.

The conspirators that include the Cabinet Secretary, a highly decorated Brigadier, the Attorney General, Master of the Royal Household, Permanent Secretary to the Home Office and the Chief Economic Advisor to the Treasury. They want to assassinate the Prime Minister.

We Go Tonight!

They plan for the attack to take place on the night when the Middle Eastern Trade Agreement is being signed so it can be misconstrued as a terrorist attack. With The Prime Minister dead they can then evoke Gloriana!

The accomplices are prepared to activate Gloriana and to wrestle back the United Kingdom’s place in the European Union.

A change must be made and permanently removing The Prime Minister is the only way!

I’m not going to tell you any more about the book as I hate it when I read reviews that give away too much of the plot, but for a small book it is actually very gripping once the operation is underway and I couldn’t wait for the next page to turn to continue the suspense.
