Feeding the ducks with Olivia

Coronation Park Ormskirk

We had the pleasure of looking after our 22 month old grand daughter Olivia the other day, she’s a ball of energy, that keeps you on your toes.

We took her into Ormskirk, to the duck pond at Coronation Park, the weather wasn’t too good, but at least it was dry when we got there.

When we gave Olivia some bread she are it herself, takes after Daddy T there, but she soon got the hang of throwing it to the ducks, which were for once actually hungry, normally they have been fed so much they are not interested.

She had a great time & certainly wasn’t scared of them.  She made sure they all got some too.

There was some big geese but we managed to keep her away from them, but she had a whole gaggle of the ducks following her around.

I wish we had took more bread for her, but we only had a few slices in!  As there is normally only the two of us we don’t buy big quantities of bread, unlike when everyone was at home & we went through two loaves a day!

Just across the park a little way is a children’s play area, so when the ducks had been fed we went across to there, it had now started to raining very lightly, but was still very warm.  Olivia wasn’t bothered about the rain though.

She loved riding on the rocking horse with Grand dad.

Sadly we had to leave, as they rain started coming down a lot heavier & we getting very wet.  Olivia raced Granddad back to the car, leaving me limping behind!

We had great fun & the next time we have the pleasure of Olivia’s company we will definitely take her again, hopefully the weather will be a little better too.

Lovely pictures, and story of a fun day out. Great to share with family and friends etc. I remember that as a child my aunt used to take me to the park near where she lived. On the way back to her home we would call in at the shops for treats. Such wonderful memories of sharing time with my Caring aunt.
