Getting started with FabLab Glitter Tattoos

With so many designs to choose from you are so spoiled for choice! Grace was really excited and rummaged through all the stencils and first chose to have a butterfly.

The instructions were extremely clear to understand so we followed them for our first FabLab Glitter Tattoo!

We removed the backing from the chosen stencil and positioned it onto the skin making sure that there were no creases or air bubbles in the stencil (this is just so we can get a perfect butterfly!)

She wanted it on her hand, so I placed the stencil on her hand. The stencils are actually quite thick and hard wearing quality with plenty of stick underneath to be used over and over again.

Next I needed to get the glue bottle and apply a thin layer of the glue across the cut-out area of the stencil. Allowing to dry slightly for 30 seconds before starting the next step!

The 30 seconds are soon over by the time you’ve opened the glitter pot lids! Use the soft brush to pick up the particles of glitter and gently dab onto the glue. You can use any of the glitter pots you like, or even go adventurous multi-coloured!

As soon as the tattoo is covered in glitter you can then carefully peel the stencil off, and your tattoo is revealed!

Grace really loves her new glittery butterfly! The used stencil just popped back on to the base stencil ready to be used another time.  Jake wanted a turn next, he wanted a shooting star on his leg.

Following the same process again we were done in no time.

To remove the glitter tattoos they can easily be washed off with soap and warm water. There is hours worth of fun here, and plenty to go around aswell we have made six tattoos in total so far and the glitter levels are still pretty much full!

Our Thoughts

We have all enjoyed the FabLab Glitter Tattoos they are fun for all the family. I even managed to get ‘Artistic Tattoo Maker Grace’ to make me a seahorse on my hand too. I would really recommend this product, it is fun, simple and great value for money and we have made some great tattoos.
