Encona are a big sauce company that started originally back in 1946 are the UK’s No.1 hot pepper sauce brand and it’s a brand I’m sure you’ve seen or passed in the shops.
I see it all the time when I’m out shopping and Daddy J loves his hot sauces as you may know from our previous posts.
When was was asked to review two bottles we said yes!
We received Encona West Indian Extra Hot Pepper Sauce and Smooth Papaya Hot Pepper Sauce to see what we thought!
With Mother’s Day approaching and it bringing all the worry about what to do for you special mum.
Well if she likes her spices, then why not try an Encona recipe and use it to serve up a tasty breakfast in bed!

Each of the recipes feature one or more of our chilli sauces and they do sound amazing.
Although I’m the biggest softy when it comes to spices, Daddy J is all for them.
He recently tried a Carolina Reaper Chilli Sauce so it shows he is one to try anything.
I will be making a chilli con carne this week and adding a healthy serving of the Smooth Papaya Hot Peppa Sauce to give it a good kick.
Or why not try making home made wedges with Encona
- chop your potatoes
- spray with frylight or coat with extra virgin olive oil
- Add a table spoon full of Encona sauce and allow to marinate
- chuck them in your oven and turn every once in a while until cooked.
Encona Sauces are available from most supermarkets, convenience stores I also spotted them yesterday in my local B&M for 89p, bargain!
With a variety of flavours on offer, you could find one to suit.
