How to play Dobble Animals

Each of the cards have different coloured animals on such as my image below.

Dobble Animals - the quick thinking card game Family Clan

We placed the cards in a pile and we were then ready to play, as easy as that, Grace couldn’t wait to get started!

Take two cards from the top of the pile and lay them down.

Players compete with each other to find the one matching symbol between two cards. Every card is unique and has only one symbol in common with any other in the deck. The match can be difficult to spot as the size and positioning of the symbols can vary on each card.

Once a player finds the match, they shout it out before other players!

Players must have a keen eye and lightning reactions in order to be the first to spot the matching symbol. Dobble Animals can be played by up to 5 players meaning gameplay is always fast, hilarious and above all ridiculously fun!

Dobble Animal Mini Games

There are Dobble Animals fast mini-games in which all players can play simultaneously. You can play the mini-games in a specific order; randomly or keep playing the same one over and over. What matters is to have fun!

There are five mini-games you can play with Dobble Animal; The Towering Inferno, The well, The Hot Potato, Gotta Catch Them All & The Poisoned Chalice.

I.e. for the The Towering Inferno you place one card face-down in front of each player and place the remaining cards face-up in the centre of the table to form a draw pile. You need to be the player who collect most cards.

On ‘go’ the players flip their card face-up. Each player must be the fastest at spotting the matching animal between their card and the first card on the drawn pile. The first player to find the matching animal, takes the card from the draw pile and places it in front of them on top of their card which will then reveal a new card.
The game continues until all the cards from the draw pile have been drawn.

The deck of cards is protected inside a small circular tin to keep them safe and make Dobble the perfect party or travel game you can take anywhere. Dobble Animals is available to purchase on Amazon here.

Our Thoughts

We have loved this game, it has been great fun for all the family trying to match up the animals, which is much tricker than you think. Some are easy, some make you think that little bit longer
