Derwent Inktense Pencil Crayons in Wooden Box
I love the resurgence in adult colouring and find it so useful for my stress and anxiety levels, so when Derwent contacted me to ask if I would be interested in reviewing some of their Inktense pencil crayons I jumped at the chance.
They have sent me a lovely set containing a rainbow of 24 different colours in a strong wooden box which is the perfect place to keep them all safe and secure out of the grand children’s way!
I always enjoyed art at school and a few years back actually took some evening painting lessons. If I am honest, I was never much good, but really just enjoyed it filling me up and every stress and worry disappearing off into the background for a while. I love how colours work and interact with each other. How some fit together better than others.
There is a young artist I watch on YouTube called Heather Rooney and although I’m not even in the same room as her skill wise, I love watching her drawings appear out of the page. She is fantastic and well worth having a look at if you’ve a few minutes to spare.
My Thoughts
Somehow, I managed to come out of school with an Art O’level – yes showing my age I sat CSE’s and GCE’s. Art and music where always my favourite lessons in school, so maybe that’s why I love crafting today.
This beautiful Inktense set will keep me going for quite a while, if any of the Family Clan members are reading this I’d love some more colouring books for either Christmas or my birthday please.
Derwent do a whole range of merchandise for the budding Michelangelo and the quality is exemplary.
We’ve run a couple of giveaway’s for adult colouring books and our latest one is listed on our giveaway page here. These pencil crayons are the perfect accompaniment and would make the perfect present for any grown up.

I took my Art “O” level a year early, I still have my porfolio. I have a still life sketch that was part of my exam and I have it hung in our hallway.
I don’t have a favourite piece of art but I am partial to a Monet 🙂
I have an area in the house where I put all of my children’s artwork. My teenager is particularly artistic and is currently doing a fine art GCSE at school so the pencils would benefit her greatly xx
Pictures of my pets!
