If you are a crochet or knitter like me you will have hooks and needles in all your projects bags. You can almost guarantee that the hook or needles you need, for the new project ,will not be in the case. So you go find it take them out of the work in progress and then forget which project use what size when you pick them up again! Come on hands up if you have done this.
So I decided I would treat myself to some new crochet hooks. I found these on Amazon for just £2.99 and they came with 12 stitch markers. The stitch markers are the safety pin style that I like using. I can find them cheaper anywhere else. Plus I purchased them from a company based in Birmingham, so although they are probably made in China, it is a British company selling them. That made the delivery really quick too.
My Thoughts
The nine hooks come in sizes 2mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 3.5mm, 4.0mm, 4.5mm, 5.0mm, 5.5mm, 6.0mm. So a really good useful array of sizes. I tend to use between 3.5mm – 5.5mm as I use Double Knit Yarn most of the time for crochet.
The array of coloured rubber handles. I find that I can crochet quite a while with them as opposed to the just metal handles I have on some of my other hooks.
I liked them so much I bought another set. That way when Olivia raids my hooks, as she does, I am not left short of a size. I’m going to order another set and put them in her Christmas Box as an extra little present.
Oh Bonus – just counted the stitch markers in one of the sets and I have 13 not 12, extra freebie. We all like those!
