How to use the Chocolate Egg Surprise Maker.

Chocolate Egg Surprise Maker Review Family Clan

First to prepare ourselves, we needed to fill one of the supplied measuring bags with chocolate of our choice making sure the bag was about 4/5th full, then melt the chocolate by placing it in a bowl of boiled water and awaiting for it to melt (instructions say not to microwave.) This took approximately 8-10 minutes for the melting to be complete.

Next we needed to fill the egg capsule with a surprise item of choice, for Graces’ egg Jake chose a pink unicorn sweet, and for Jakes, Grace chose a small pack of love heart sweets.

We then separated the egg mold halves, gave a little coat of cooking oil and placed the Egg Capsule inside, and all together into place. Insert the egg mold into the holder and align it vertically to the top, unscrewed the dispenser nozzle ring and removed that and the bag clamp.

I removed the measuring bag from the water and gave it a quick wipe down and inserted dispenser nozzle into the measuring bag then added the bag clamp which keeps the bag in place.
Insert into the dispenser, then Grace and Jake took it in turns to push the plunger down which is allowing the chocolate to fill around the egg.Chocolate Egg Surprise Maker Review Family Clan

We rotated the egg round by using the handle, Grace and Jake took lots of turns doing this.

After you have done, simply remove the egg mold and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes

After the allotted I took them out of the freezer and allowed to stand for a few minutes, I opened the egg mold revealing the chocolate eggs we had made.

You can now place your Chocolate Egg on the foil wrapping paper, and gift it to a friend.

Our thoughts

Although it seems like a long process, it wasn’t!  I would say it took less than 10 minutes to complete the egg making process up to putting them in the freezer.

We have had great fun doing this together and they even enjoyed scraping the remainder chocolate whilst waiting for their eggs to be ready in the freezer.

The Chocolate Egg Surprise Maker can be re used over and over again, the only thing you might run short of would be the foil and measuring bags, but you could use food bags for the measuring I would say and normal tin foil for the covering if you are only playing. I’m sure you can buy coloured foil on Amazon or Ebay if you look.

The Chocolate Egg surprise will make a great gift, it’s easy to make, fun for the whole family and you can even use your own chocolate from home.

Designed for kids ages 6+, this has been great to do with Grace too who is age 4, she enjoyed taking part and having her own pink egg she made with her older brother.
