Celebrating National nail polish Day with Num Noms!
Grace loves getting her nails done so this is the perfect creative activity for her in true Num Noms style!
This Num Noms Nail Polish Maker is perfect for any Num Noms fan and with so much ‘wow’ when we seen the box, we knew that this was special!
How do we use the Num Noms Nail Polish Maker?
First what we needed to do was gather an empty nail polish bottle, supplied, then select the smaller white glitter bottle. Slightly unscrewing this bottle we then squeeze it a few times into the empty nail polish bottle which releases the glitter to our polish.
With the selection of three ‘flavors’, slightly unscrew your colored flavor and squeeze three or four times into the nail polish bottle, at this point you can choose to mix your flavors or keep it to a single flavor.
Grace chose to start with yellow (banana), then added one drop of blue (blueberry)and one drop of red (strawberry).
After you have selected your flavors, you then choose the white ‘milk’ and fill the remainder of the nail polish bottle.
Here you can see our process so far. Give it a shake, and then the fun bit happens! Insert your newly made nail polish into the spinner and spin for one minute.
Grace was really excited at this time as she said that it has now turned ‘unicorn colors’.
You can repeat the process two more times, so Grace chose strawberry and milk for her second and strawberry, blueberries and milk for her third.
We had super fun making these together and as Grace is only 4 she got the hang of the process very easy with just a bit of help from me to squeeze the flavor bottles into the Nail Polish bottles.
When you have finished making up your nail polish you can turn your Num Noms Nail Polish Maker around there is another side to paint your nails. I inserted the donut table and stools to the pegs on the playset so we were ready to paint nails! At this point Grace was extremely independent and wanted to do it all by herself.
You can place your finger on the ‘stools’ allowing Grace to be steady whilst she concentrated on painting her nails
Using her two favorite colors, she is extremely proud of making her own nail polish and applying it herself!
Num Noms nail stickers also came supplied to add onto dried nails, but these unfortunately just didn’t stick on her nails, nor mine, which is a shame but that hasn’t phased Grace. She has stuck them into one of her coloring books.
Supplied with the Num Noms Nail Polish Maker was also plastic nails which you can paint using your own customised nail polish and apply to your nails once dried by applying the adhesive then file down the edges to make them smoother.
We were also sent some nail polishes for us adults (woohoo!) so after Grace got super pampered with her new nail polish, she even sat and painted mine for me. Smudges and everything here are my newly painted nail by Grace.
Our thoughts
I really would recommend this product, myself and Grace have had great fun creating and even though we have now made our polish, there is still plenty of polish/milk/glitter left for future use when she has used the polish we made up.
Available to purchase from Amazon here.
Grace loves her Num Noms and we have reviewed them in the past. We’ve celebrated National Sandwich Week and National Chocolate Cake Day with Num Noms.
