The Book With No Pictures Review B.J. Novak

Family Clan Blog Review & Giveaway The Book with No Pictures

The book starts with these opening lines.

This is a book with no pictures.

It might seem like no fun to have someone read you a book with no pictures.

It probably seems
boring
and
serious.

Except…

Here is how books work:

Everything the words say, the person reading the book has to say.

No matter what.

That’s the deal.
That’s the rule.
So that means…
Even if the words say…

& so the fun starts.  I’m not going to spoil the fun by telling you what happens next – don’t you just hate it when someone tells you the story before you’ve even got hold of the book! – but I will tell you the book gets sillier & the laughter gets louder each time you turn a page.

You can see the author reading some of the book here

Jake loved this so much we had to read the book three times. Sorry for the lack of picture but we read via Skype & I’ve no idea how to take snap shots of the screen.

You might recognise the author, B. J. Novak as he has appeared in the TV series The Office the American version. Have to admit to never watching either the British or the American version, but I know a lot of you did.

We was lucky enough to get an advance copy of the book to review, & I know you will love it.  I would definitely say it’s for a child that understands when you are being funny, as it’s not a story book in the traditional sense of the word, but a silly fun book that has giggles on every page.

We loved it.
