Bongo’s Bingo is Back!

Bongo’s Bingo is Back!

We love Bongo’s Bingo, it’s by far the best night out I’ve ever had. So this news that they are back is absolutely super! Yes not the normal, but they have made it the best they can in these times!

Two special outdoor shows announced for Newcastle

Bank Holiday Sunday 30th August and Saturday 12th September

at the Virgin Money Unity Arena

With close to 2 million tickets sold, back in March Bongo’s Bingo was the leader of the experience economy, a phenomenon which started in Liverpool and was rapidly taking over the world.

And since then, as the world has been turned completely upside down during the Covid-19 pandemic, normality has been in very short supply.

But finally the team are incredibly proud to announce two Bongo’s Bingo shows taking place in Gosforth Park at the Virgin Money Unity Arena, the UK’s first dedicated socially-distanced music venue, on Bank Holiday Sunday 30th August (1pm show start) and then Saturday 12th September (7.30pm show start) Tickets are on sale from 10am Wednesday 29th July for one week for anyone with Bongo’s Bingo credit. Then from Wednesday 5th August any remaining tickets go on general release.

Purchasing Tickets

For the Bank Holiday Sunday 30th August 1-4pm you can buy tickets on the Bongos Bingo website.

For Saturday 12th September 7.30 – 10.30pm you can buy tickets on the Bongo’s Bingo website.

Due to the amount of people being socially distanced from this event, you will receive individual arrival times closer to the event date.

Jonny Bongo says:

“We obviously cannot wait to get back to doing what we love, and these outdoor shows at the arena are ideal to give everyone a release. But we know how tough things have been too, it’s been such a crazy and surreal time for everyone. We have all been desperate to come back but only when it safe and right and this is the perfect place for us to do some shows as it is properly socially distanced which is great. We want to make it really special and give everyone some big Bongo’s Bingo love in Newcastle.”

This incredible setting just north of the city, with strict social-distancing measures and group viewing spaces, will host these two huge outdoor shows, some of the biggest the team have ever done. They mark a spectacular and much-needed summer return for anyone seeking a release from these unprecedented times, of something always immensely familiar, fun and fulfilling in a unique experience from start to finish.

Despite the difficulties endured by so many during the pandemic, the first Bongo’s Bingo shows in months will offer what so many people have been craving for so long – escapism. The award-winning concept combines the much-loved quaint pastime of bingo with a mesmeric live show, crazy antics and weird and wonderful prizes which have helped create one of the most talked about nights out in the country.

Our Thoughts

Bongo’s Bingo offers a night full of madness, mischief and shared euphoria, with dancing and cheering under one roof to hits from across the ages all night long – imagine N Trance’s Set You Free filtered via S Club and Gerry Cinnamon, to en-masse crowd karaoke renditions of Total Eclipse of the Heart.

We are so glad that Bongo’s Bingo is back! We can’t wait to go and have a brilliant night out.

Why not have a read of our previous experiences at the Boiler Shop in Newcastle on our previous posts.
