URTEKRAM Review & £50 Beauty Hamper to Giveaway

Urtekram are Danish organic beauty specialist & they have been very kind in sending us some products from their range.  Urtekram is a particularly good brand to know about as all of their 59 products are certified organic, hypoallergenic and are also approved by the Vegan society.

Urtekram Review Family Clan Blog

They were founded in 1972, they are renowned for creating plant based products that are natural & wholesome.  The new range includes, organic shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, shower gels, soaps, hand creams, deodorants, toothpastes & scrubs. They all have natural scent profiles that incorporate the most aromatic herbs, fragrant flowers & exquisite oils from around the world.

I don’t believe that you should have to compromise your standards – or break your budget – to use natural, organic or cruelty-free products.

Urtekram Lavender Soap Bar Review Family Clan Blog

I’ll start with the Urtekram soap bar, the one I was sent is Lavender, as you open the package the aroma hits you. I love the smell of fresh lavender & this is just like it, sometimes it can smell really manufactured, but with this it really smells like the plant.

The bar weighs 175g so a good size that will last & keep the bathroom smelling divine! It soaps up really easily & your hands feel really soft.

Urtekram Rose Shampoo Review Family Clan Blog

Next up is the Urtekram Rose shampoo in a 250ml bottle, it states on the bottle ”add plenty of moisture to your hair while enjoying the scent of thousands of roses. We have filled the bottle with nature’s own moisturisers aloe vera and glycerine for gentle care of your hair

When I put the shampoo in my hand I was instantly transported to my Granddads garden. He used to have dozens & dozens of roses growing in all different colours, they were my Nanna’s favourite flower. I remembered sitting in the middle of the garden one summers afternoon & the smell of the roses filling me up, that’s exactly what I got from the bottle. The shampoo made my hair feel really clean & healthy.

Urtekram Hand Soap Review Family Clan Blog

The Urtekram antibacterial hand soap is in a 380ml pump action dispenser, a lovely smell of Nordic Birch – whilst I could tell you what it smelt like, it’s lovely standing in the forest kind of smell –  the pump is really easy to push down, which for me with my slightly arthritic fingers is a bonus, giving you enough to wash your hands & wrists. You should wash your hands for at least 30 seconds to kill all the horrible nasty bacterial germs off. The bottle states “Sometimes, you need to make sure that your hands are extra clean. Therefore, we have combined strengthening birch leaf extract and the super moisturisers aloe vera and glycerine with natures own antibacterial powers” Also unlike some hand soaps it doesn’t leave your hands feeling dried up.

Urtekram Review No Perfume Hand Cream Family Clan Blog (2)

Last up is the No Perfume Urtekram hand cream. I love the fact it’s no perfume as I have hand cream in the car, when we are out & about, I’ll give my hands a good dollop of hand cream, but when you’ve got your best perfume on you don’t want it competing with the beauty products that you use. I found a little of the hand cream went a long way & it soaked in without leaving a residue or stickiness that some have. This is just a tester sample, it normally  comes in 75ml tube.

All in all, I’ve had a really good first impression of Urtekram’s beauty range and would certainly recommend it.
