Crocheting Craft

Crocheting Gifts

I’ve been busy doing some crocheting  as I scored a stash of wool from a local charity shop.

I got four big cones of wool, a pale lemon,, black, dusky rose pink & cerise pink!  Over 1500 grams for £2, seriously they wouldn’t take any more money off me.

So I’ve been making some small items for the one of the grand children.

I made this cute basket for Easter for Olivia. I got the pattern idea on BobWilson123 crochet.  Although I made the from this pattern I did alter it slightly by raising the the edge of each row to give it a look of straw.  I think it gives it a extra touch.  The flower is pinned on so it can be worn on a hat, on a lapel etc.

Olivia’s daddy is a diabetic, so she is only allowed chocolate & sweeties occasionally, I thought these little mini eggs would do perfectly, she could just have one, when her Mummy says.

I have also made her this cute Minnie Mouse inspired beanie hat. Minnie Mouse is a big favourite with Olivia so I thought I’d try, I just used a basic beanie pattern again from Yolanda Soto Lopez.

I just added the ears, a pink edge & flower. What do you think?

Here are the cure flowers I made from a crocheting pattern on myhobbyiscrochet.com

They are both from the same pattern & I learned a new stitch a triple crochet, making it look like a puff stitch.

Fresh off my crocheting hook is this little ballet hair bun for my niece Mia, she is a fantastic ballerina who has passed lots of exams with distinction.  I still need to add a ribbon around the edge but with it being Easter, I’ve not had time to go to the craft shop to buy some.

I think it looks so cute if you want the crocheting pattern or watch the tutorial for the Hair Bun Cover.  Again from BobWilson123, I love her tutorials as she explains each step clearly same as Yolanda Soto Lopez, even if you haven’t managed to get the hang of crocheting, they will learn you with their teachings. If you are interested I certainly recommend them.

So what have you been making lately, we would love to know.

Happy Easter

Nanna Jane.
