Jelly Popping Candy Shells
Well let me firstly say I was going to take a photograph of the actual chocolate, but it was so delicious I forgot! OOPS
The latest offering from Cadbury’s to join the Dairy Milk range are these Marvellous Creations bars. There are two to choose from; Jelly Popping Candy Shells and Cookie Nut Crunch. They’re actually based on the Marvellous Creations bars that have been available in Australia for some time.
We had the 200g bar of Jelly Popping Candy Shells, which cost £2.50 from Asda.
The chocolate was what we have come to expect from Cadbury’s lovely milky & melt in the mouth, heaven, can you tell I’m a chocoholic yet?
The Jelly Popping Candy Shells bar is an interesting concoction combining fruit flavoured jellies (6%), sugar coated candies (6%), and popping candy (4%).
The candy filling had a jelly texture was chewy like a Turkish Delight texture & blended with in the chocolate is popping candy which when the chocolate starts melting in your mouth a popping sensation began like the Space Dust sweet from years ago! I know not every one if a fan of the popping candy, but I love it, it evoked memories from school when we used to see who could stand the most Space Dust on their tongue without swallowing or closing their mouth (I know disgusting right but we was kids) & this memories brought a big smile to my face. There was also sugar coated candy, which is just mini Smarties by any other name. They give a lovely crunch texture, which blended well with the popping.
The chocolate looks really cool with its different piece shapes. (I’ve had to take this from Cadbury’s site due to us all eating our bar). We found it hard to break off a piece without taking half of another section. So sharing it equally was a problem.
Would we buy this bar of chocolate again, over all the consensus is Yes with it being given a 4 out of 5
I purchased this with my own money, this review is my honest opinion. I was not paid for this post.
